O's Crazy Adventures

Cristo Redentor

Had to go up to say wussup to the big Jesus statue looking over Rio and met some nice Peruvians on the way up. The day was a scorcher and at some point you just get immune to the amount of sweat coming off your body. The views were spectacular -- I swear Rio is just filled with miles and miles of gorgeous beaches.

A bit of adventure twist on the way down. Our guide reversed right into a stone curb and his rear tire went flat. I was lucky enough to have made other friends on the trip up and grabbed a ride down while four locals descended upon the car to put on the spare.

I met up my friends from yesterday (Audry the Aussie and Jackie from the Big Apple) and we chilled out at Barra beach, had dinner at a great spot called Bazzar (just be careful when ordering the bread -- they charged us $25 for "bread" appetizer x 4! we got it removed, but it was tricky because they come over and offer bread like it's free...now you know!), and then met up with some peeps at Boox -- a super trendy lounge with a DJ spinning the latest MJ jams (haha).
